- Fresh green salad;
- Roast lamb in cooked on fire in wood-burning stove;
- Liver in veil;
- Home-baked pita bread;
- Baklava – sweet pastry or fruit;
- 100 gr. home-brewed Bulgarian brandy - rakia;
- 1 bottle of wine;
- 1 mineral water;
- 1 soft drink.

ONE WEEK PACKAGE AT "HADJI VELINOV HAN" GUESTHOUSE

If you want to feel the atmosphere of old times do visit "Hadji Velinov Han" - the most popular guesthouse in the architectural and historical reserve of Bozhentsi. Inspired by the beauty and calmness of this village, many Bulgarian writers, musicians and painters crated some of their greatest works there. The house was build in 1836 year and its ancient appearance and spirit have been preserved ever since - with stonewalls, the wide gate, the overhanging stone roofs and traditional furnishing. Old masters have created a wonderful harmony and lasting beauty out of stone, wood and wrought iron.

Day 1
Transfer from Sofia airport to Bozhentsi - 220 km. Upon arrival in Bozhentsi each guest will receive a guide map with information about the region, its sights and available activities. A special welcoming dinner.

Day 2
Tour around Bozhentsi - declared an architectural and historical reserve - visit to a museum house. After a delicious lunch, leisure time in the afternoon for a walk in the surrounding woods or for pure relaxation lying on the green meadows.

Day 3
Visit to the ethnographic complex "Etura" /15km/- to see functioning 17th century workshops, producing textiles, pottery, wrought iron, knives, pastries. In the afternoon we depart for Lyaskovets for an outstanding wine-tasting tour in the oldest Bulgarian wine cellar.

Day 4
Hiking through the mountain for 2 hours and visit to the old crafts-center of Triavna /transfer by private car is also available/, famous for its woodcarving and icon-painting schools and great masters. Lunch in a famous old-style tavern.

Day 5
Trip to Veliko Turnovo /40km/- the medieval capital of Bulgaria and visit to the ancient fortress - Tsarevets; after a lunch at the Renaissance "Arbanassi" village we can take a pleasant stroll around the medieval marketplace Samovodene.

Day 6
Visit to Dryanovo monastery /20km/ - built in the 12th century, followed by an attractive hike along a 4km long eco-path in the woods, surrounding the monastery.

Day 7 Departure - transfer to Sofia airport.

Day 1
Arrival in the architectural complex of Arbanassi; walk around the village.
Drive to Veliko Turnovo - the historical capital of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom - visit to "St. Peter and Paul" church and the medieval fortress "Tzarevets".
Drive to the architectural and historical reserve "Bozhentsi"; accommodation there at the "Hadji Velinov Han"*** guesthouse; dinner.

Day 2
Tour around the fully preserved 19th century village with its unique houses, many of which have been homes of renowned Bulgarian artists. Visit to the Gallery and a museum house - home of the first textile-producing Bulgarian family. In the museum you can hear the history of the village and the region and learn spicy stories from the everyday life of local people.

Day 3
Trip to the Bulgarian Capital of Humour - Gabrovo with visit to the museum of satire. Visit to the unique open-air ethnographic museum "Etura" and the picturesque Sokolski monastery. Dinner at traditional tavern with folklore show. /25 km/

Day 4
Trip to the town of Tryavna - woodcarving and icon-painting center – visit to museum houses with interesting architecture and exquisite wood-carved ceilings. /36 km/.
Departure for Varna. /280 km/
